Dear Birth Parents,

We would like to begin by first recognizing your courage, and mentioning how much we admire your decision to make an adoption plan for your baby. Please realize you are making a tremendous difference in others' lives. We feel truly blessed that you are considering us to raise, love and cherish your precious baby. We know we can provide a secure home and fill your baby's life with love, patience, understanding and many enriching experiences. We commend you greatly for your brave and loving actions. We hope that upon reading this letter you will get an idea of the kind of family we are and that it will be the type of environment you wish your baby to be raised in.

Our names are Jennifer and Jeffrey. We have been happily married for nearly five years and have been together for seven years. I have a son Nicholas from a previous relationship, who Jeff adopted in September 2006. After trying for many years to conceive a child, we learned that we are unable to do so. Since we have so much love to offer and a huge desire to become parents again, we know opening our hearts and home to adoption is the right path for us to follow.

We are both graduates of Maryvale High School in Cheektowaga, New York. Jeff graduated in 1989 and I graduated in 1990. Jeff has some college backround, and hopes to finish his degree in the near future. I earned a certificate in dental assisting. Though we were not acquaintances in high school, we became involved in the summer of 2000 by a chance encounter and have been together ever since. We love spending time together and never forget to tell each other "I love you" everyday. We are not only husband and wife, but also best friends. We hope that our child (hopefully children) will see what a loving relationship we have and know that they are part of a nurturing family.

Jeff and I are very close to our families. Jeff’s mom Marilyn and stepfather Paul live in Clarence, NY. Jeff has a sister, a brother-in-law, and a twenty-one year old nephew. Although they live in Georgia, they visit often. My mom Gail and dad Wayne live in Cheektowaga, NY. I have an older brother, a sister-n-law, and two nephews, ages two and 5 months. They live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I also have a younger brother who lives in New York City. Even though there is distance between us, we manage to keep a very close relationship. We are very fortunate that Nicholas's grandparent's live so close. They love spending time with him just as much as Nicholas loves spending time with them. Between Jeff and I we have a combined 20 cousins with whom we spend time with whenever possible. Everyone in our family is so excited for us to adopt and they are eager to welcome your child with warm and loving arms.

Jeff is employed at an automotive manufacturer, as a production operator. I am a merchandiser for Hallmark cards which I love because I get to read all the inspirational greeting cards. I work part-time with very flexible hours. This allows me to be home for Nicholas before and after school so he does not have to go to daycare. I hope to be a stay at home mom once we are blessed with another child.

We love spending family time together. Some things we enjoy include playing games, going to the movies, bike riding, swimming, sledding, rollerblading, and picnics. Jeff is a huge sports enthusiast and a fan of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. He and Nicholas play hockey often. Jeff also loves to golf. I enjoy taking walks, scrap booking, shopping, and bowling. Nicholas enjoys playing with his friends, playing football and hockey, and sleepovers. Every summer we enjoy choosing a different place to take a family vacation. Holidays are always spent with our extended families.

We live in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY in a two story colonial home with three bedrooms, a living room, dining room, family room, finished basement and one and a half bathrooms. We live close to many parks, movie theatres, playgrounds and libraries. Our house is a gathering place for many family get-togethers. In the summer we have picnics in our backyard and everyone enjoys swimming in our pool. We also live in a neighborhood where there are lots of children.
